Chennai, 19 October 2021: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, an Institute of National Importance, has opened application window for PhD/Direct PhD/MS (by Research) Admission January 2022 Semester. Researchers conceded to PhD and MS programs under Regular plan are qualified for the accompanying Half-Time Research Assistantship (HTRA).

Qualification Conditions For Regular Research Scholars:
PhD in Engineering:
a) Candidates with a Master's certification in Engineering/Technology with a decent scholastic record/Master's certificate by Research in Engineering/Technology with a decent scholarly record/5 Year Dual Degree in Engineering or 5 Year BS+MS Dual degree from Centrally Funded Technical Institute with a decent scholarly record.
b) 2 Year MSc from IITs (passage through JAM) with 8.0 or more are absolved from qualifying in National Level Examinations.
c) Candidates with Master's certificate in Sciences with a decent scholastic record and of remarkable legitimacy are qualified, for the important Engineering disciplines (as chosen by conceding offices). Competitors should have a legitimate GATE score or UGC-JRF/NET/CSIR-JRF or comparable capability in the significant region valid for the time of enlistment.
