IIT Bombay PhD Admission AY 2021-22: Total sanctioned more than 450 seats

 Mumbai, 25 July 2021: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, an Institute of National Importance, for the most part acknowledges PhD Applications two times per year (for example Fall Semester (July meeting) and Spring Semester (January meeting)). 


For the Academic Year 2021-22, IIT Bombay has declared the complete PhD admission seats are 431. Software engineering and Engineering will have 26 seats while Electrical Engineering will have 38 PhD seats for 2021-22. The authorized strength for Humanities and Social Sciences division is 22 seats. 

For normal PhD Programs, researchers are qualified for Institute Fellowships, famously known as Half-Time Research Assistantship (HTRA) financed by Ministry of Education. 

For the following meeting, Spring Semester (January meeting 2022) meeting, IIT Bombay will likely open application gateway for PhD Admission on 03 September 2021.

IIT Bombay is one of only a handful few organizations in India that can offer PMRF Fellowship to exemplary Ph.D. applicants at the hour of entrance into the Ph.D. program. PMRF colleagues get a month to month payment of Rs 70,000 alongside a yearly possibility award of Rs 2 Lakh. To apply for PMRF, the applicant needs to get chosen in our customary Ph.D. program, and the Institute will suggest chosen not many up-and-comers (with high scholastic accreditations and exhibited potential for research) for PMRF.
