Cotton University, Guwahati Announces PhD Admission 2021

 Guwahati, 26 January 2021: Cotton University, Guwahati, a state college in Assam, has declared PhD Admission 2021. 

Workforce of Earth Sciences: Geography, Geology. 

Workforce of Human and Social Sciences: Anthropology, Archeology, Economics, 

Training, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology 

Workforce of Languages, Literature and Linguistics: Arabic, Assamese, Bengali, Bodo 

English, Hindi, Persian. 

Workforce of Life Sciences: Botany, Environmental Biology and Wildlife Sciences (EBWS), Zoology. 

Workforce of Physical, Chemical and Mathematical Sciences: Chemistry, Computer Science and IT (CSIT), Mathematics, Physics, Statistics. 

The University empowers multidisciplinary programs. 

Qualification Conditions: 

(I) A Master's certificate or identical from an UGC perceived University with at any rate 55% imprints in total or its comparable evaluation, in a subject identified with PhD discipline where applying. 

(ii) An unwinding of 5% of imprints or an identical unwinding of evaluation, from the necessity of (I) above, will be pertinent to applicants having a place with SC/ST/OBC/Differently-Abled and such different classifications as determined if there should arise an occurrence of confirmation in an organization under Government of Assam. 

(iii) While deciding the qualification of an up-and-comer subject to conditions (I) and (ii) above, beauty checks or focuses granted in the passing assessment, assuming any, will not be tallied. 

(iv) Applicants having equipped for public level grants, for example, UGC/CSIR Junior Research Fellowships might be called to go to the meeting/viva-voce of the allowable order of the grant without having showed up in the composed test if the quantity of such candidates is little. They are anyway encouraged to show up in the composed test. 

(v)Candidates who had cleared NET or SLET in the connected order inside a time of two years going before the date of this warning might be qualified for an unwinding of least qualifying marks in the Written Examination up to a limit of 5%. 

Determination Procedure: Selections will be through a Written Entrance Test followed by Viva-voce Written Entrance Test followed by Viva-voce independently for every Department/Discipline. The base passing imprints in the Entrance Test is fixed at half according to UGC rules. The base passing imprint for competitors having a place with classifications referenced in (ii) above will be 45%.candidates a weightage of 70% to the passage test and 30% to the exhibition in the meeting/viva-voce will be given. 

Key Dates: The last date for installment of use expenses is 03 February 2021 (5PM). The end date of accommodation of use charge is 04 February 2021 (7PM). 

Date of Written Examination is 13 February 2021. 

Application Fees: Rs 1,200 (Rupees One Thousand Two Hundred in particular).
