New Delhi: The Bharat Electronics Limited marked an agreement with the Indian Navy on Thursday to supply 20 laser dazzlers, a non-deadly weapon for notice and halting dubious vehicles, boats and airplane.
The Defense Ministry in an assertion said that this weapon has been natively planned and produced unexpectedly, and it additionally "astonishes and diverts airplane/UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles)".
It expressed that the Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) had prior in December won the agreement to supply the laser dazzlers to the Indian Navy.
"It (laser dazzlers) is equipped for astonish and consequently, stifle the person's/optical sensor's activity with inability glare in the event of resistance to orders. It muddles/befuddles/blinds an individual briefly. It likewise astonishes and occupies airplane/UAVs (automated airborne vehicles)," the assertion said.
These weapons would be fabricated in the BEL's plant in Pune. C
