New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay will offer another scholastic program in Healthcare Informatics, foundation chief Professor Subhasis Chaudhuri said. The program will be at first offered to BTech and Dual Degree understudies, with a chance of offering it to MTech understudies later on.
The choice to begin the new program was taken in the last Senate meeting of IIT Bombay, Prof Chaudhuri said.
"We are glad to declare that IITB in its last Senate meeting has chosen to begin another scholastic program on Healthcare Informatics from the impending scholarly season. To begin with we will offer a minor and IDDDP (Inter-Departmental Dual Degree Program) program for our B.Tech and DD understudies. Along these lines, we would investigate the chance of offering a M.Tech degree around here," Prof Chaudhuri said via online media.
"We trust this new drive will open up energizing freedoms for our alumni, remembering the chance of doing new businesses for this specialty area," he added.
To help individuals during the second flood of COVID-19, IIT Bombay has begun a free emergency vehicle administration.
HelpNow, the rescue vehicle administration of IIT Bombay, has been started by its graduate Venkatesh Amrutwar and two last year understudies – Aditya Makkar and Shikar Agrawal.
Commending the endeavors of the IIT Bombay understudies, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' said: "HelpNow, an IIT Bombay drive, is a private emergency vehicle administration that gives complementary lifts to poor people, the police and government workers."
