India, France dealing with third joint space mission: K Sivan, ISRO Chairman

 India and France are dealing with their third joint satellite mission, even as the two-sided space cooperation is going into different areas, including human spaceflight program, ISRO Chairman K Sivan said. Sivan, likewise Secretary in the Department of Space, said many French organizations are quick to take advantage of chances hurled by late changes infused into the space area by the Government.

As per ISRO authorities, ISRO and French space organization CNES (Center National dEtudes Spatiales) have attempted two joint missions 'Megha-Tropiques', which was dispatched in 2011, and 'Saral-Altika' in 2013. 

"As of now, we are working for the third one (mission)", Sivan said. 

Authorities said ISRO and CNES have finished the attainability study to understand the earth perception satellite mission with warm infrared imager, TRISHNA (Thermal infraRed Imaging Satellite for High goal Natural asset Assessment) and are pursuing settling an executing course of action for the joint turn of events. 

Sivan said India is additionally working with France on joint analyses and convenience of logical instruments in space missions.

ISRO authorities said the two space offices have likewise concluded all interface control archives for obliging CNES's 'ARGOS' instrument in ISROs OCEANSAT-3 satellite.
